MEGAN GREEN

SHE/HER | MA,LPC,LCPC

Megan is a Licensed Professional Counselor with clinical licenses in Virginia, Maryland and Georgia. She received her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia.

Megan takes a person-centered, collaborative approach to therapy, integrating evidence-based treatments tailored to each client’s needs. She utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills when appropriate. In addition, Megan is formally trained in EMDR, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I).

She uses EMDR to help clients process traumatic and distressing experiences that may feel difficult to fully access through traditional talk therapy alone. Through ERP, she supports individuals struggling with OCD in reducing compulsions and reclaiming their lives from intrusive thoughts. With CBT-I, the gold standard treatment for insomnia, she helps clients restore healthy, sustainable sleep patterns.

She has worked across levels of care including residential treatment, intensive outpatient programs (IOP), and private practice. Megan has facilitated numerous therapy groups and educational lectures on topics such as boundaries, defense mechanisms, addiction education, and anger management.

She is deeply committed to creating an inclusive, emotionally safe therapeutic space where clients from all walks of life feel respected, understood, and supported.

In her free time, Megan enjoys walking, reading, spending quality time with family and friends, playing video games, and watching reality TV.
